Accessible Forest Bathing Session

A shorter and gentle Park and Forest Bathing+ session, suitable for people with mobility needs where we will keep to the paths and have frequent opportunities to sit down.  Your guide will share various ways in which nature, and in particular trees, positively impact our physical and mental wellbeing. Then we will walk slowly (about 1.5km) through the park and up the hill  to the ancient woodland, stopping to do some gentle practices using our five senses, which help us connect with nature and calm the body and mind. We end with a relaxation exercise before we return to the starting point. 

 

There is a wealth of research from around the world (particularly Japan), which shows that being in a forest or wooded area can have a host of health benefits for our physical and mental wellbeing, including on our mood and immune system function and sleep.

Places are allocated on a first come, first served basis (max of 10) and your guide will confirm your place or if the session is full, let you know about future sessions.
