Would you like to start your weekend with a woodland boost to your wellbeing? Then why not come to the gentle Forest Bathing+ session in Beckenham Place Park on Saturday 16th Sep 12 - 3pm (no swimming wear needed!) Your guide will share various ways in which nature, and in particular trees, positively impact our physical and mental wellbeing. Then we will walk slowly about 1.5-2 km in the ancient woodland, stopping to do some gentle practices using our five senses, which help us connect with nature and calm the body and mind. We end the session with a relaxation exercise before we return to the meeting point.
There is a wealth of research from around the world (particularly Japan), that shows that spending time in woodland can have a host of health benefits for our mental and physical wellbeing, including our mood, stress levels, sleep, immune system, and blood pressure.
If you would like to come, then please complete the online registration form via this link by the end of Friday https://forms.gle/AuvpkbdPYHFs8DSbA
Places will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis (max of 10) and your guide will confirm your place or if the session is full.
Here is what some of our participants have said after the sessions: " I felt very relaxed and in a pleasant mood which extended to the rest of the day!"
"I felt so much more grounded, positive, and present." My shoulders felt several inches lower!"
" I’ve gained a deeper appreciation of trees and walking in nature"
I felt very relaxed and calm. I noticed that my heartbeat rate had slowed down a little.
