The Field Studies Council (FSC) and PTP Coaching offer great value packages, with games and activities outdoors to keep the children entertained.
If you’re looking for a room for hire where you can organise your own party, the Mansion has a few options – details below for other space and food and drink options
Nature-themed birthday parties by the FSC
Our fun-filled nature-inspired birthday parties are perfect for adventurers and budding conservationists. With games and activities, and challenges inspired by nature, we get children outdoors and into nature – a great way to celebrate a birthday.
Cost from £10 per person, with a minimum fee of 10 participants (£100), for two hours including a party room
Minimum and maximum party size
We can manage parties of any size, but recommend a minimum party size of 8, we have a normal maximum of 20 participants so everyone gets the most from their time with us.
What’s included or available (e.g. room, catering, activity)
Activities organised by friendly and professional tutors/forest school leaders from Field Studies Council London.
Parties are two hours with half an hour for you to have cake and/or party food.
You will have access to a decorated room, all you need to prepare is the food and refreshments for the children. Food can be purchased from the Homestead café which is next door
All tutors are trained in First Aid and all sites and activities are Risk Assessed.

Water-themed birthday parties by PTP Coaching
We at PTP Coaching think birthday parties are great. We also think doing something outside and slightly different with your friends makes your celebration a real treat. Why not join us for a Paddleboarding (SUP) birthday party?
Cost from £14 per person. The sessions are one hour long and include an instructor to help facilitate the fun and games.

Minimum and maximum party size
Minimum 10 children, maximum 24. If you have plans for a bigger celebration, please do get in contact at info@ptpcoaching.co.uk to discuss options. Our parties are suitable for 7 years plus.
What’s included or available (e.g. room, catering, activity)
This package includes the use of all equipment and a qualified instructor to help facilitate the fun.
Wetsuits are not provided but as you spend more time on the board than in the water. We recommend light, weather-appropriate clothing and a pair of old shoes (or barefoot in warm weather).

Rooms for hire at the Mansion
The Mansion’s bright and airy rooms have amazing views of the park and are available on a dry-hire basis which gives flexibility, allowing you to have control over bringing external caterers and entertainment in.
Two rooms (Dining and Drawing Room): £500 (4hr hire + 1 hr set up/pack down)
One room (either Dining or Drawing room): £350 (4hr hire + 1 hr set up/pack down)
Minimum and maximum party size
No minimum party size, maximum 150 across all room, subject to availability. 4hr hire minimum
What’s included or available (e.g. room, catering, activity)
Mansion rooms are available on a dry hire basis. This means that the rental fee only covers the hiring of the room, everything else. Catering, entertainment, sound and lighting – will need to be outsourced by the hirer.

Travel and Parking
Please advise your guests that car parking is limited and that the park is well convened to public transport. We recommend planning one’s journey in advance.
Food and Drink
You can bring your own food and make a picnic on the grounds (see below for more details) or order pizza and juices from the Homestead Café. Pizza is always popular with kids! Gluten-free pizza is available on request. We recommend that you organise this in advance by contacting The Homestead Cafe. Please dispose of the pizza boxes by returning it to the café.
You can also choose the beautiful Mansion bar and cafe which is surrounded by great views and they have spaces to hire out, perfect for families! They have a great selection of hot food, ranging from burgers, sides and brunches with different dietary options like vegan, vegetarian and gluten-free.

Parties on the grounds
You’re welcome to host a gathering on the grounds of the park. Whether you book one of the party packages above and then have a picnic, or decide to do it all yourself, please observe the following
· No confetti or balloons brought to the park – unlike a hall for hire or your own home, these cannot be easily swept, and are dangerous to wildlife and nature.
· No gazebos and inflatables in the park as this presents a health and safety hazard with potentially serious consequences. There’s plenty of shade under trees, and many trees in Beckenham Place Park.
· If you’re hosting a picnic in the park, please take your rubbish with you. It will be lighter than when it was brought in and it will make a huge difference to the park! During busier periods, the bins get full quicker and subsequent visitors leave the rubbish next to the bin. Wildlife and even pests can then get into the bags and wind can blow them further away. As a rule of thumb think… “If I can bring it, I take it back”
