Kokedama workshop

Join us for an adults only workshop to create Kokedama on Tuesday 15th March.

Kokedama is a Japanese technique for planting which literally translates as "moss ball". The idea is to plant an ornamental plant in a ball of soil and cover the soil with moss. It can then be hung up or displayed on a saucer. The technique can be done using indoor or outdoor plants.

This is a fun activity that is relaxing and can increase serotonin levels through putting your hands in the soil. Serotonin is a happy chemical, a natural anti-depressant and strengthens the immune system. Plus you get to go home with your creation at the end!

The workshop will be led by Michelle Brandon, a local horticultural therapist and garden designer. It will take place outside.

Free, thanks to funding from the National Lottery Heritage Fund, but booking essential. Click here to book.
